HAVE, Inc. Really Fun Summer Picnic at the Catskill Animal Sanctuary
On Saturday July 14th, HAVE employees enjoyed a fantastic day at the Catskill Animal Sanctuary in Saugerties NY. The weather was gorgeous, as were all the animals, and a good time was had by all!
The rules for our company summer picnic were simple. Relax, decompress, enjoy the day, meet some nice friendly animals and learn about their lives, and enjoy a tasty array of healthy food and beverage. Oh yes, and to socialize with colleagues and their families with no talking about "work"! I’m happy to report that the rules were followed to the T, and as far as I know, there was no mention of work at all!

The Catskill Animal Sanctuary, located outside Saugerties NY, is a wonderful place that provides a safe and loving haven for abused and abandoned horses and farm animals - animals who have never known warm shelter, spacious pastures, good food, or the touch of a kind hand. Since 2001, CAS has provided refuge for about 1,000 such animals, including horses, ponies, cows, goats, sheep, donkeys, pigs, rabbits, and a variety of birds. CAS’s founder and leader, Kathy Stevens, the remarkably kind and compassonate author of the book Where the Blind Horse Sings, was on hand to welcome us, make us feel at home, and lead us on tours of the farm to meet all the delightful creatures who call CAS home. Thank you so much Kathy for such a great day!
