(Hudson, NY) November 2004 - HAVE, Inc. is now offering a complete new line of handcrafted FLAT 8-pair cable assemblies made with its audio snake cable design breakthrough, Flexygy 8. "Flexygy 8 assemblies are designed by our engineers to lay flat, stable, and out of the way," says John Earl, HAVE’s Cable Specialist, "whether your application is stage, auditorium, home studio, or remote truck use. We handcraft these assemblies with a broad range of connector choices, making them perfect for any audio application you have."
Flexygy 8’s flat topography is the real standout of these assemblies, along with the fact that HAVE assembles each cable by hand with the best connectors and assembly techniques available. "The ONLY handcrafted flat audio snake assemblies in the industry," says Earl. Flexygy 8 assemblies can run under carpets, doors and fixtures, and are resistant to movement, unlike regular round snake cable, and it bends easily. Its jacket is also totally lead and cadmium free, helping to make the cables environmentally responsible products, meeting California’s stringent Prop 65 standards. "That’s very important to us," adds Earl. The FLAT design also allows these assemblies to take up less space on portable reels, as well as less space in studio wire-ways and trenches.
Flexygy 8’s performance comes from its 24 AWG (7/32) bare annealed copper conductor pairs, with 24 AWG drain wire. Each pair is individually numbered and color coded, and features 100% aluminum/polyester tape shielding, offering very low capacitance of less than 25 pF/ft between conductors. Conductor DC resistance is also very low at 24.5 ohms/1000’.

Flexygy 8 assemblies are available now in balanced configurations with combinations of XLR, and ¼” Stereo Phone connectors, and unbalanced configurations with combinations of XLR, ¼" Mono Phone, and RCA connectors.
